"Investigation of Surface and Sorption Characteristics of Low-Temperature Plant-Derived Biochars using Flow Adsorption Calorimetry"

Research Interests:

  •  Investigation of sorption, redox and degradation reactions occurring at the solid/liquid interface of geomaterials.
  • Synthesis and characterization of novel materials (eg. sorbents) for environmental application.
  •  Development of innovative instrumentation and experimental approaches for investigating molecular scale reaction mechanisms occurring in the environment.
  • Use of heat signatures to elucidate energetics, kinetics and mechanisms of mineral-organic interactions in the environment.
  • Geospatial modeling of contaminants in aquatic and terrestrial environments.
