Assistantships
Requirements
- Must be accepted
into a degree seeking program (G7, G8 - not G6 or G9)
- Must be a graduate-level
student registered full-time (at least 9 credits fall & spring,
6 credits over the summer with at least one credit each session)
- Other preferred
qualifications may be set by assistantship supervisors
Benefits
- Helps you fund
your education, while gaining experience in your field or with
other aspects of the university
- Students that
hold an assistantship will have out-of-state tuition costs waived
(will pay in-state tuition rate)
- Graduate Assistants
qualify for state employee benefits (medical insurance, etc.).

Texas A&M University Department
of Student Financial Aid helps students obtain scholarships, grants,
part-time employment, and loans. Students interested in financial aid
are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Many financial aid programs
have early deadlines, some as early as the January prior to fall admission.
